Canuck Place Children’s Hospice – the first freestanding children’s hospice in North America has a temporary part time Leave coverage. Scheduled hours of work may be flexible. There is a possibility of additional casual hours if available.

The rate of pay is $19.30 per hour. Canuck Place offers an excellent Benefits package, including Extended Health and Dental plus an RSP plan.

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of foods, assigning tasks and providing work direction to kitchen volunteers, assisting with in house catering event’s  and maintaining a clean kitchen. The people you serve are the children and their families as well as other staff and volunteers.  It is a homelike environment where the kitchen is an integral part of the space and everyone is welcome at the table.

You must have Grade 12 or equivalent supplemented by successful completion of a one year accredited program in food preparation and cooking plus a minimum of one year of related experience in food preparation and cooking. You must have Food Safe Level 1.
