The History behind the official Canuck Place Tartan

The Canuck Place Tartan was created in homage to the Tait family of Scotland, original owners of  ‘Glen Brae’ the heritage residence now known as Canuck Place Children’s Hospice

In a collaborative effort with the Strathmore Woolen Co. of Forfar, Scotland, we have the honour of presenting our own registered tartan.

By becoming a member of the Champion’s Club Inner Circle you will be granted the right to wear the Canuck Place Tartan

When wearing our tartan you will be recognized by others of the Clan of Canuck Place, as part of our extended family.  It will identify you as a person of caring, concern & compassion…  a real life Champion acting on behalf of the children and families of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
The Tartan’s main field features the Canuck Place branded colours of green and mauve – often found in the residence’s many stained glass pieces – showing the green rolling hills and the light purple heather of Scotland.
