While grief is a natural response to loss, the experience of grief can be deeply influenced by painful feelings and thoughts. Many grievers find themselves getting caught in patterns of guilt, worry, blame, and anger. Mindfulness skills can help grievers cope with these, while increasing resilience, compassion, and feelings of connection.

This weekly group is open to Canuck Place parents, caregivers, grandparents, or adult siblings. Through the course of the six weeks, each participant will have the opportunity to build their own practice of mindfulness. Because each session builds on the last, we do ask participants to attend all weekly sessions.

Please note: These support groups are intended for families up to three years after the loss of a child who was cared for by Canuck Place and who are at least six months bereaved.

When: April 24-May 29 | Thursday evenings weekly, 6–8:30 p.m.

Who: Adult family members

RSVP: Please register by April 1
